I was able to take the features of this old barn and give it a new fresh look with pine trims and 111 ply to fashion new doors and add trim framing around the doors and windows, now its fully functional with a refreshed look without having to demolish and rebuild.

This basement had a concrete floor covered with indoor carpeting which in some cases works out fine if you have a dry basement.  In this instance this home had a problem with humidity and moisture problems around the perimeter which caused damp moldy issues.  In this instance an upgrade to a tiled surface was the best solution, easy clean up and it’s fresh and clean.

  Here are a few of the bathrooms that I build, and I find that one of the most popular patterns are the subway, or a bi-level split pattern, both give a bathroom a bright and cheerful look and provides for a quick and simple cleaning.

Mold is the number one cause of health problems and musty smells within the home, most people living in the home tend to ignore the problem and keep putting off taking care of the problem.  Here is just an example of what happens when ignoring the problem, simply this problem just doesn’t go away by itself it only gets worse and eats the moist sheetrock from inside until your wall falls apart.  The best thing to do is to tackle the problem before things really get out of control.

 

When things get cramped and it becomes a bit cumbersome when it comes to laundry then perhaps a small addition extending into an attached garage is the thing to do giving you a nice but elegant space for a hide away laundry room, which is what I did for this customer.

 

Sometime our hardwood floors take a great deal of abuse and high traffic or perhaps a messy pooch.  It may be necessary to take things in hand and decide to refinish the hardwood floor.  I have undertaken some pretty challenging floor projects and the outcome is nothing short of outstanding.  In these photos you can see the status of the floor before starting and the results after a good sanding.  I take the time to do a thorough cleaning so no particulates are left behind.  I typically use an oil based clear stain with a light honey transparency to it and allow it to cure before adding the top clear coat to it for a rich beautiful shine.

 

Wood stairs don’t last forever especially when they are in the front of the house, these stairs were not taken care of properly and after a time the weather really beat them up to the point where they needed to be replaced. In this series of photographs you can see the state they were in and the rebuild to the final painting and treed sealants which will protect them for many seasons to come, to maintain them it’s necessary to treat them at least once every few years.

 

When walking around the perimeter of the home, especially in the rain can be dangerous so the addition of a pressure treated wood board walk can really come in handy

A simple way to enhance the beauty of the front of the home can be accomplished by adding a small porch and gable, giving your home a simple and elegant appeal and a welcome point of entry.

An unexpected accident occurs when you mistake the gas pedal in your vehicle for the brake and something like this may happen and to your surprise you find yourself in your vehicle through the back wall and perhaps even on the back deck. Not to worry, pretty much anything can be fixed and restored to new condition like it never happened.

When it comes to improving the appeal of your home, and you want to take it up a notch, then removing the carpets and installing a finished hardwood floor is the way to go to get the eye catching appeal your after is the best way to go.

Sometimes when it comes to the spare space in a home over the garage is the perfect place to build out a large space for a room to make into a bedroom, office, or a game room is a fun and efficient way to enjoy that expanded space for special usage.

Weather it’s a wall repair or a replacement for mold or an small damaged area we will take on the whatever is required to restore the integrity of the home to restore it to like new conditional.

Outside areas are greatly enhanced with the installation of pavers or blue stone or patio stone giving you the space to enjoy the outside areas for summer living.

The installation of tile on the floor or walls is a great and easy way to protect the home from such things as wear and tear on the floors and walls, tile is a great way to protect your home from dirt and mold from moisture, its quick and easy when it comes to cleaning and sanitation and leaves a bright luster to your home for many years to come.

One of the most popular additions to a home is a sun deck, either attached to the home, or perhaps around the swimming pool, it’s a place of enjoying the outdoors with family and friends, or just a place to unwind and get some fresh air. Like anything else outside it is subject to weather and wear and tear and must be protect which required maintenance. When a deck is not properly protected and is left to age, they dry out in the sun and damaged by weather and cracking is taking place, this is the perfect opportunity for bugs to infest the wood, along with rain it’s the perfect habitat to perpetuate rapid deterioration of the wood, resulting in rot and decay.
